Spring Wild Edible & Medicinal Foraging

Service Description

Spring is the time to collect food and make medicines! There is so much food in the forests right now, more than what’s in the garden! Plus, many medicinal plants as well. In this 4-hour class where we will explore the plants and classify what is edible, medicinal, and utilitarian. An edible plant may be edible but is it palatable? What would you eat in a survival situation? Or is this plant absolutely yummy and irresistible?! During this 4-week series, we will be exploring 4 different eco-systems to see what’s on the forest menu. Our meeting locations will be in the greater Sandpoint area in Bonner County and announced as we get closer to harvest time.
